The setting among the rice fields was very quiet and idyllic. Walking takes about 20 minutes to the lively Ubud city centre, so if you want to unwind after a hectic day in Ubud this is the spot. There are also a few very good warungs nearby. The accommodation isn’t reachable by car; we didn’t know there was a scooter luggage transfer, so we had to carry our bags on foot, which was a bit heavy. Just ask at the property before you arrive and they’ll gladly arrange it for you.

I love the place. It’s a short walk from the city centre, but I find the route pleasant, safe and beautiful. If they have time, they’ll pick you up. It’s very inwardly built, so I often sat on my outside stair to stare at the rice fields.

The air‑conditioning is very powerful and the windows offer a beautiful view. The location is nice, with a cozy common area, and the hotel sits in a quiet spot in central Ubud among rice fields; at night fireflies fly around. Walking to places every day feels a bit far, so a mototaxi can bring you to the hotel and delivery services work. Renting a bike is better, but you have to be able to balance to cover the last 100 m. The bathroom needs more attention: the glass is dirty and the shower curtains should be replaced. Breakfast is quite sparse, with limited drink options.

I stayed at a charming hotel nestled in the middle of rice fields, which was just a short distance from the city center. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, I had to be mindful of the narrow roads, which made it difficult to reach the hotel by car. Fortunately, the hotel offered a unique experience that was worth considering, and I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.
