Auberge Vue d'la Dune - Dune View Inn

Honestly, the value for money was disappointing. The photos didn’t match reality. The welcome was not at all warm. The place was passable, a ruinous house with mold, dampness, and dirty windows. We had to use a container to keep the window open. There were no amenities on site—just a microwave and a non‑working mini‑coffee maker. No picnic table, no fire pit. The beach edge was poorly maintained. The bathroom and bedroom seemed clean and the mattress comfortable, but overall I would not recommend it.

Our reservation was cancelled by the owner on the day of arrival, after we had already traveled, leaving us stranded with no accommodation. I tried to be understanding because it was supposedly due to family matters, but after a month I’m still waiting for a refund and have almost no communication.

“A éviter”

I was eager to leave these premises; the sheets seemed clean, but the place felt like it was on its last legs, the restaurant was closed, the room was truly ugly and uninviting, we were left to fend for ourselves, booked through Booking, and we didn’t receive the promised lunch.

The view of the sea was beautiful, but the room service was a bit old‑fashioned, we never got our lunch, and no refund was offered for the lunch that was supposed to be included.

The room I had originally booked was no longer available on the morning of arrival; the place smelled terribly of weed, so much that we wondered if the plants under the stairs were actually weed plants; the mattress collapsed in the middle and was far too soft, so we both tossed and turned and ended up with sore backs.
