“Comfortable hotel, but under construction.”

We paid a reasonable price and enjoyed a hearty breakfast. The hotel is a short drive from the castle, and the bath was nice. Our family room was spacious, and the host was helpful, moving us to a larger room when a friend joined at the last minute. Unfortunately, the building that houses our room was under construction until the end of September 2026, with a second story being built just above us. On Friday morning we woke up at 8:30 to pounding and concrete drilling, though it stopped before Saturday. The construction left very little space to squeeze through the already narrow street to the hotel. The bedroom itself was large but spartan. Parking is limited to about four cars, which could be an issue in high season. The hotel has a garden patio that could offer a nice view of the castle, but it’s not well‑kept and a clothesline with drying laundry lies between the patio and the view. The castle is separated from the hotel by a valley, so walking up the narrow back street would not have been easy. Overall, I was satisfied with the visit. There are two other buildings that aren’t under construction; I suspect we might have stayed in one of those if we hadn’t made the last‑minute room change.

“Amazing”

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. The host showed amazing hospitality and went above and beyond to make our visit great. I would 100% recommend it. Nothing was wrong.

Very close to the fortress with a great view, and the breakfast was nice. It’s relatively far from the city center.
