The View on Vaal Resort

We were located close to each other thanks to arrangements with the manager in charge, and we have no complaints.

The location was beautiful, with large trees around the chalets and morning bird songs. The resort was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. However, the kitchen lacked utensils—no drying cloth after washing dishes, no calendar for draining rice and veggies, and the pots were too large for the stove. Also, the bedroom didn't have bedside lamps.

“Will go back again”

I loved the spot—right in the middle of everything—and overall the stay went well.

Everything was spot‑on, exactly as we’d hoped, but there was a hiccup with the deposit policy. The property’s check‑in sheet says “A damage deposit of R550 is required on arrival… Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property,” yet the staff told us “The deposit will be refunded after 7 working days via EFT.” If the “7 working days” detail were also on the check‑in info, guests would know ahead of time. In the end, the deposit only came back after +15 days.
