The owner is very caring and attentive. The restaurant near the hotel plays music loudly from 8 am until 11‑12 pm, which can be quite noisy.

A fantastic spot for a family holiday. Several families with small children stayed with us, and the kids had everything they needed: a large cozy courtyard with green grass for ball games, safe stairs and terraces, swings, friendly dogs, and more. Even without kids, it’s a very cozy and comfortable place, just a short walk from the beach in central Unawatuna. Nearby, you’ll find all the essentials: shops, inexpensive restaurants and cafés, fruit stalls, ATMs, and currency exchange. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bed and a good bathroom. The hotel also has a kitchen with all the basics, including a fridge. In terms of price/quality, it’s a top pick for such a popular resort. We liked it so much we wanted to extend our stay, but the hotel is very popular and without a reservation you can’t get a room. So plan ahead. The owner is very friendly and unobtrusive, and will resolve any issue.

“Excellent stay, clean and spacious rooms, would recommend to anyone”

We had an amazing stay at zimmer rest, the rooms are lovely and clean, the staff are very helpful, the location is excellent, and I would definitely stay there again

Great location, a pleasant owner, and responsive staff. It’s a bit dirty, but that’s Asia, and if you don’t nitpick and know where you’re going, it’s fine.

The bedding is comfortable, the outdoor area is nice, and the location is great outside the beach. The air‑conditioning doesn’t cool well, there’s no storage space, and the paint is shabby.
