The location is beautiful, there is a good variety of accommodation options, the restaurant is lovely, the staff is excellent, and breakfast is great. The room in the main house was tiny, rainwater leaked in through the window because maintenance was insufficient, and the rooms are oddly priced… friends paid less for a much better room.

The location was gorgeous and the décor was unique, giving off a cozy, home‑like feel. The team was extremely friendly and surprised us with a free upgrade, which was a lovely gesture. We were arriving for a wedding that coincided with check‑in, but the staff arranged an early check‑in for us, which was very considerate. I loved everything.

The place was spotless and the staff were pleasant. On busy nights we ate, but the food was still served relatively quickly. The village around was lovely to stroll through. The only issue was that our room was small; we only had a few hangers on the back of the door for clothes.

The hotel had a quirky charm and our room was tucked at the back of the garden. However, it was far too hot; the fan barely produced any cool air and the noise from it was annoying. I’d consider air‑conditioning as the summers get hotter. The TV remote didn’t work in our room (pigeon) informed the staff, but they couldn’t fix it. Fortunately my husband downloaded a remote‑control app on his phone and it worked.
