The area was decent. The stay was a disaster—calling it an “old hotel” understates the dilapidation, neglect, and severe outdatedness. Compared to typical UAE hotels it barely meets 2‑star standards, and even next to basic Toronto Pearson airport hotels it’s a charity to give it 3 stars. The nightmare began the moment I entered the room: exhausted from travel, I wanted a quick shower but found no body wash and no tissues. I called the front desk, was told someone would bring them “in a few minutes,” but an hour went by with no response. I had to leave the room, go to the lobby, and find a staff member myself to get basic toilet supplies. Then bedtime was a joke: the walls were paper‑thin, a baby crying several rooms away sounded like it was next to my head, and every whisper, step, and flush echoed through the building. I had only two basic expectations—clean shower and a bed to sleep in—and they failed badly on both. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
