The atmosphere, the selection at the breakfast buffet, the location on the Schmutter, the dinner in the hotel restaurant, the very nice staff, and the view from the room were all excellent. However, the room had no air conditioning, so it would have been too hot in summer.

The staff were competent and very friendly, the room was top‑equipped, and the breakfast was unusually rich. The central location was perfect for hiking or cycling, and the monastery complex is worth seeing. Nothing to complain about.

The location right on the bike path and in a quiet countryside is great, and bikes can be stored in a lockable shed and charged; there’s also an e‑bike charging station. On that evening a wedding took place, so the beer garden was closed to the public and the music played until midnight was so loud that I couldn’t open the window. The bathroom in room B5 was not cleaned properly; dark hairs from the previous guest were found under the towel heater, in the bathroom corners, and in the shower drain. The mattress was too soft and a bit sagging (I rolled into a kind of dip). The breakfast area was very crowded. The restaurant is expensive for its mediocre cooking quality. The church bells ring multiple times an hour; if that bothers you, you probably shouldn’t stay in a monastery.
