“Außergewöhnlich herrschaftlich”

Staying on a castle is already a unique experience. The rooms are stylishly arranged, clean and tidy. The museum visit and tower climb are included. The view from there is great. You get a huge key for the entrance gate. The detour is worth it for Moselsteig hikers. The staff are very friendly and dedicated, and the breakfast is delicious. The reception was a bit chaotic because one person had to handle the restaurant and reception alone. The three‑course menu was okay but definitely a bit overpriced. Still, everyone made a real effort, no question.

“Elegant private experience with amazing views and atmosphere.”

The breakfast was full, varied, and amazing with high‑quality cheeses, tasty eggs, and warm meats. Maria was exceptionally attentive and caring. The views from the tower (keep) and the valley from the viewing room were amazing.

The staff were super friendly and you felt instantly at home. The host cooked fresh and elaborate meals himself, and the stay was greatly enhanced by his personal story and connection to the castle as well as to Heinrich Lübke. The books on the castle’s history that we bought still fascinate us afterwards. It was a short but very inspiring stay.

The whole castle, the clean rooms, the unique atmosphere, the location, the breakfast, the castle lady, who was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating! Anytime and again!
