Waking up to volcanic vistas and having a private jetty right by the lake was a highlight, and the area’s overall quiet vibe made it a great spot. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless, with plenty of towels and even a yoga space if you wanted to stretch. The kitchen had a good selection of spices and utensils for coffee, tea, and smoothies, plus a stack of self‑development and yoga books. The owner responded quickly and was very attentive, and the bathtub offered a beautiful view. On the downside, the living areas were dusty, especially the day beds, and there wasn’t enough outdoor seating to enjoy the scenery. The Wi‑Fi was unreliable—something to consider if you need to work remotely. Hot water in the shower was inconsistent; after about 10 minutes the shower cooled, so we couldn’t take a proper bath.

The room was cozy and well suited for a couple, with a kitchen that had a gas stove, fridge, and all necessary utensils. The covered outdoor area was comfortable. However, Casa Vista is right next to the street, so you can hear the traffic loudly even while sleeping. We were also woken by singing construction workers one morning. The view from the terrace while sitting was poor; you’d get a better view standing or from the indoor dining table.

The view was lovely and the host was very responsive. The space was a bit dark and we encountered some ants.

The apartment itself was cozy. The location was next to a road that felt unsafe at night, and if you choose a unit near the entrance you’ll get a noisy environment and the worst view of the lake. We found a few scorpions—expect them near the lake—and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work properly. Overall, the price‑quality ratio wasn’t the best; the Picnic Hotel would be a better option.
