The welcome was exceptional: a huge thank you to Luisa for her incredible kindness, availability, and warm reception that instantly makes you feel like a real friend; absolute calm: Tenuta Afra is a true sanctuary of tranquility, the beautiful white traditional building has insane charm, far from the tourist bustle of the coast, it’s a total joy to return and recharge in such silence after a long day of exploring; a spectacular pool: the big highlight of the estate, huge, perfectly maintained and beautifully integrated among the palms, our two girls aged 7 and 12 loved it during the day, and the pool lighting allows for magical, soothing swims at dusk; the location: the positioning of the estate is formidable, the ideal logistical hub to radiate throughout Salento, the city of Lecce is very close, and one can easily switch to the white sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea or the rugged Adriatic landscapes with minimal driving time. There was absolutely nothing wrong; our 4‑day stay was flawless.
