They did wash my laundry, but I had to hang it up myself. On the downside, the place is a bit of a walk, and I wasn't a fan of all the bug nests and carcasses lying around.

“Solo female long stay”

I've gotta say, I had a much better experience here than I expected, especially after reading that other review - I think some travelers need to adjust their expectations when venturing out of Europe. I stayed here for almost a month while learning about Torajan culture, and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious with great views of the rice terraces, and it's clear they've recently renovated.

I was really looking forward to checking out, to be honest. The issue was, the room was a disaster - toilet was a mess with yellow and brown stains on the seat, and there were spider webs and dead flies everywhere, even on the bed. It smelled like sweat and looked like the bed hadn't been made in weeks. I basically had to clean the whole room myself. Also, when I tried to pay with card, I had to walk the staff through how to use the terminal using Google Translate, which was a bit of a pain.

This guesthouse was easy to find, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The owner is really friendly, which made our stay enjoyable. One minor issue was that a road closure forced us to take a detour, but it wasn't a big deal - just be careful driving by the paddy fields.
