Hotel Miss Blanche, located in Groningen's Hoge der A-quarter, is a boutique hotel situated in eight historic buildings from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. This unique hotel features 62 individually appointed rooms, studios, and apartments, including an Executive Suite, each equipped with a pantry and working space. Parking is available in the private underground garage, a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Miss Blanche in Groningen and were overall very satisfied. The free surprise upon arrival was a highlight: we received an upgrade to a suite and a puzzle with a personal card from the hotel, a truly nice and unusual touch that left a positive impression right away. The suite was spacious, tastefully decorated, and included a sofa in addition to the bed. The complimentary minibar was another pleasant bonus. A small drawback was the TV, which is best viewed from the sofa; from the bed the angle is less convenient. Breakfast was served in the adjacent café and the selection was perfectly priced. We especially liked that we could order fresh scrambled eggs on demand instead of getting them from a warm‑holding container. Overall, the hotel won us over with its special atmosphere, generous rooms, friendly gestures, and solid breakfast concept. The free suite upgrade and the puzzle surprise added extra value to our stay. In short, a charming hotel for a visit to Groningen where guests feel truly welcome and appreciated. We would choose it again. The only downside was the central location, which made it quite noisy late at night and into the early morning due to partying students. The hotel can’t do much about that, but they do provide free earplugs. If you value absolute silence for sleep, this location might not be your first choice.

The city corner was nice, the breakfast was good, and the shower was fine. I had to search a bit to find my front door, and the lights were initially hard to turn on. The living‑room area was decorated in a somewhat eclectic style.

Super low price, right on the canal, coffee shops and restaurants right outside the door.
