“It’s more like an Airbnb except you have no contact for issues until hours later. Pot!!!! Not a hotel!!!”

The place was dirty, smelled of pot, had hair in the shower, and the exterior doors offered little protection from a large group next door playing live music; the room was tiny, the TV didn’t work, and I hated it, leaving me with no choice but to leave.

“A very nice room and property for a relaxing stay.”

The hotel met my expectations for a nice stay: the room was quiet, the sheets crisp, and everything worked. What stood out was sitting in the yard in the late afternoon under shade, surrounded by trees and a view of the river through them—an incredibly pleasant experience. Too bad the restaurant was closed on Tuesday, because I really wanted to sit there and enjoy the best of Missouri. The wifi was kind of sketchy, and I had to blackout the windows because of bright outside lights; I would have preferred to leave the drapes open so the sun could wake me up.

The spot is great, staff were courteous, the restaurant and bar were awesome, and the room was clean with a comfy bed, though the steps up to the room are a bit of a hassle.

“Comfortable but loud”

The room feels updated and comfortable, but the bathroom door doesn’t close properly, the light is dusty, the headboard keeps hitting the wall when you get in or out of bed, and there’s no soundproofing—so you can hear the restaurant emptying bottles and garbage as if it were in your room, plus the neighbors.

Everything was very clean and quiet, and there was nothing to complain about—it was just good.
