The staff were friendly and did their best to help. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. However, my room had no hot water and the bathtub leaked, so I was moved to another room. Breakfast was only served from the kitchen; there were no self‑serve items like fruit, bread, jam, butter, or juice, so I had to make instant Nescafé with hot water myself. A large group of young people played loud music and sang, but they left before nightfall. It wasn’t worth the price I paid.

The place was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was amazing with a large, comfortable bed, and the shower and bath were superb. The staff were great and hardly any trouble. The gym was well equipped, and next time we might book a massage. Food was fantastic and breakfast lovely. My little boy and I loved the swimming pool. The only downside was that only instant coffee was offered at breakfast; filter coffee would have been nicer.

We were very satisfied with our one-night stay at the Lavish Suites. The staff was friendly and accommodated our wish for a late checkout, the facilities and rooms were spotlessly clean, the breakfast very good and the location felt very safe and quiet. They played loud music at the pool area, but it was perfectly quiet in our room, and the music was turned down at a reasonable hour at night. The laundry service was meticulous (although on the pricey end). The security personnel was especially friendly and helpful. We would come back when re-visiting Blantyre! The room and especially the bathroom were very small. When staying for more than one or two nights, this could become uncomfortable
