The staff here were genuinely warm and welcoming, making our stay feel like a home away from home.
The spa was also a highlight, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt at home.
The rooms were spotless, and the property as a whole was incredibly well-maintained.
The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a great selection of wines to pair with their delicious meals.

The gardens are beautiful and tranquil in the morning, especially the larger Mughal gardens a bit away from the cottages if you can get up early to enjoy the cooler hours. The cottage is comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Breakfast is great and runs until mid‑morning. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
“A Charming Oasis with Some Minor Quirks”
The staff here were genuinely warm and welcoming, making our stay feel like a home away from home. The beautifully maintained garden and fountains added a serene touch to the property. We also had an amazing time visiting the nearby Samode Palace, which was a highlight of our trip. However, the views from our tent were a bit underwhelming, but we were told that the suites have a much better view.
“A Hidden Gem with Great Food and Friendly Staff”
This hotel really delivered on the food front - we ordered a veg thali that was absolutely superb, and it was actually big enough for two people, so it's definitely worth trying. The distinct flavours of Rajasthani mirchi, ghatte, and kairi were all spot on, and we were really impressed. The spa was also a highlight, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt at home.
A truly special stay, wonderful for both adults and children, ideal if you’re after something off the beaten track with peace and warm hospitality. The food is pricey even though it’s good.
“Unbeatable Luxury in the Hills”
I was lucky enough to be sent to the Samode Palace during the low season, as the Samode Bagh had no guests. So, I'm reviewing the Samode Palace Hotel, its sister hotel. This unique Maharaja palace, still owned by the family, is breathtakingly beautiful, tastefully restored, and perfectly decorated. It's the most extraordinary, beautiful, and best 5-star hotel I've stayed at during my time in India. The hotel's colonial-style decor, staff, services, spa, pools, and gardens are all top-notch.
