I got a second‑floor room with no lift, so hauling my luggage up was a chore even though a helper assisted; then the room lacked hot water, forcing me to move to another room and waste about 45 minutes, dragging my luggage back down again. The room itself was fine but missing a mirror and a water partition in the bathroom, leaving the floor wet after a shower. I had expected it to be close to the airport, but it’s actually 25 minutes away, so taxi rides from the railway station to the hotel and then to the airport cost twice the room rate. It’s also far from Vienna, requiring a train trip, so overall my research was poor.

The walls are thin and everything from the neighboring room can be heard, even the TV.

The room was good, but there was no fan and check‑in was not possible after 14:00.

The value for money was overall good; the layout could use a facelift here and there, but the breakfast was decent for the low price. We’ll come back.
