“Nice onsen bath!”

A young woman at the counter was friendly and efficient, and I enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor onsen pools; the food was also tasty. However, the overall appearance was shabby, with old, ripped upholstery and widespread wear and tear, and the dining room offered nothing special.

Great location right next to the gondola, delicious Japanese dinner (if you like fish and meat), and the kids’ meal was also great. The onsen was nice and relaxing, even with the outdoor area. The vegetarian request was denied, breakfast is exclusively Japanese, staff don’t speak English, only cash is accepted, the hotel feels a bit dated overall, and 30 minutes of table tennis costs 550 Yen.

The futon was very comfortable, and the room offered a good view of Mount Fuji.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, offering a view of the lake. Because it was a Monday, staff were thin on the ground, the Japanese breakfast was very simple and served slowly, and the room lacked a proper shower; we could only do a quick rinse during the limited spa hours, which meant no shower from 23:00 to 06:00.
