The farm’s beauty, the horses galloping, the sweeping views, and the fish‑filled lakes were all breathtaking, and the historic lodging added charm. But beyond fishing and dining, there’s not much else to do; a walking trail or horse‑feeding spot—or even rides—would have made it even better.

The stone cottage was a quiet, rustic haven with a fireplace and spa bath that made my solo stay feel like a mini‑vacation. The staff were lovely, especially Andreas who made me feel welcome, and the restaurant offered intimate, fine‑dining local food. I’d love to return with my partner for a romantic getaway. The only minor issues were getting the open fireplace going and the low shower pressure, but they’re tiny blips in an otherwise amazing stay.
