Very good stay! We were very well welcomed, the room was impeccable and clean, and everything was set up for a pleasant time. The staff was friendly and available. A very good experience, we recommend this hotel without hesitation!

“Nous avons été chouchouter”

The other staff welcomed us very well, we ate very well, the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were well equipped, climate control, air conditioning, fan, we even washed our clothes. Perfect.

This guesthouse has three main assets: 1) the location. Elephantine island is quiet and exhales good vibes, yet extremely accessible from Aswan. The ferry costs 15 EGP one way (for tourists, no haggling required) and is very reliable. Jamaica guesthouse in particular is very close to the ferry, and also very close to King Jamaica Restaurant, maybe the best restaurant we've been to in Egypt. 2) the owners. Both the owner and his sister are nice and friendly. Most importantly, they were never pushy and service did not deteriorated when we declined to book activities through them. 3) the room itself. The owner let us choose our room from the ones available, at no extra cost. All of them were spotless clean and very comfortable, with reliable AC and hot water. Obviously, do not expect luxury: you get what you pay for, but it's not a five star hotel. The only (minor) drawback is the owner sending messages until you write a review. This is not enough to take one star off our excellent experience, but it is nonetheless unpleasant.

“Genial”

I had an unforgettable stay at Jamaica Guest House. The welcome was absolutely amazing, with people who were extremely warm, caring, and available. They answered every request with great kindness and even took the time to carry our luggage. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. We felt welcomed and at home from start to finish. A beautiful address that I recommend with closed eyes. Thank you for this wonderful stay!
