“Schön ruhig und super freundlich”

The quiet location was very soothing for me. I slept wonderfully. The cook who prepared breakfast was especially friendly and helpful. Because I was in a workshop from Wednesday to Sunday and stayed at Jägerhof for that, I was back at breakfast on Saturday morning just before seven. On Saturdays breakfast starts at eight, and I didn’t realize it was Saturday. The kind cook quickly set everything up so I could have breakfast at a quarter past six. He even boiled eggs for me. Great. Parking nearby was available because the hotel wasn’t fully booked; otherwise it might have been an issue.

The hotel is nice and a little outside the city centre, the room was clean, and the restaurant served very good food.

“Für eine Nacht geht´s.”

The dinner tasted good and the staff were very friendly, letting us in even though the place was technically closed; the breakfast times are geared toward early risers – nothing after 8.30 am, the TV didn’t work, and at 9.30 am check‑out there was no one in sight, the corridors, reception and breakfast room were dark; check‑in starts only at 17 h, before that it’s closed.

For the price the room was acceptable, though the bathroom felt tiny with its high‑step shower. The location was quiet and the beer garden lovely despite being right next to the main road, and everything was easy to reach. The food was very tasty, the kitchen solid and the service friendly. On the downside, the bathroom’s high‑step shower was inconvenient and a second chair would be useful for two guests. Breakfast ended at 8:30 am, which felt too early, and while the roll selection was fine, there was no sliced bread (only a single mixed‑bread slice after asking). The scrambled eggs were not recommended, though the boiled eggs were okay.
