The location was good, but this was my worst experience so far.

I had to figure out which side of the property to arrive from because we were driving from Sigulda and ended up in the middle of a military exercise. Nobody on the other side knows how to get to the parking lot. The owner was not at all friendly. The whole house had an unpleasant odor, so it was better to stay in a room without a bathroom because it smelled even worse. The floors and beds were clean, but everywhere else was dirty, with mouse droppings and dust around the windows.

The place is so pretty, with countryside vibes.

The natural surroundings of Leiputrija are great, and it’s not far from city centers if you need to shop. I stayed alone, which made it even more comfortable. I don’t know how it would have felt with more people, since the kitchen was small and the fridge was even smaller. The water heater runs on a solar panel accumulator, and because Latvia doesn’t get much sun, the hot water quickly turned lukewarm. Likewise, the house was colder than outside, but the radiators didn’t work. The room had no sink, only a shower and a toilet, so I had to step into the hallway to wash my face or brush my teeth.
