The essentials were solid – the room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the air‑conditioner ran quietly. Being in the city center made returning after a day out a breeze, and the double glazing kept street noise at a tolerable level. The shower was odd; water dribbled from above while mostly coming from the handset, and there seemed to be no way to choose one mode or the other, which was frustrating. The fridge was a nice touch but cramped, fitting only a juice bottle and not a wine bottle. Some curtain rails had failed, causing the drapes to droop.

“Piacevole anche se disorganizzato per quanto riguarda la struttura”

The building was pretty, offering a view of the bustling Via Toledo and a short walk to the Spanish Quarter. The room was cozy and well equipped, though not spotless – the parquet floor was dusty and dirty. The manager was impossible to reach and unavailable in any way, so on the first day we had to rely on the kind hospitality of the building’s concierge.

The place was cute, the bed comfortable, and the location central. The downside was the noise; the girls in the adjacent room laughed and shouted until 4 am.
