“コスパ良し。”

The location is undeniably excellent, right in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, and most of the city is within walking distance. The room’s power supply is separate from the one that only works when the key is inserted, and the fridge stays on all the time, so I could drink cold beer as soon as I got back. The surrounding area wasn’t a security concern, and even late at night I could shop or eat without trouble. The room itself was quiet. I arrived late at night and the reception was empty; a small paper with a phone number and a “call us” note was left. I tried calling via WhatsApp to save on phone charges and they answered. The AC remote was broken—turning it on made the room too cold, turning it off made it too hot.

I liked how close it is to the city sights and the airport! Our room, however, had a noticeable damp smell.

The room’s air conditioning wasn’t working, so it needs a new unit.

Everything was fine. The only comment was that the view was supposed to be city, but when I opened the window I saw the neighboring building’s wall 😂, still overall okay.

The spot is great and the staff are friendly, but the facilities feel a bit dated.
