“It’s a definite must do but I’m not sure I will be back”

The property’s location is amazing—being on the water is just beautiful, and the kids really enjoyed fishing and the day trip to the beach. The staff were friendly too. The property has such a big opportunity to be world‑class, but I think those opportunities are missed. It is really tired and in desperate need of a deep clean. The lack of cleaning equipment made it difficult to wipe surfaces and the hot water was intermittent, making dishwashing hard. The knobs on the gas stove also turned 360, so we were never truly sure the gas was off and thus slept with a kitchen window open. I feel the garbage could also have been taken daily to help with clearing.

The location was amazing. The staff were great, and I would love to come back in summer. We struggled with the gas stove, then we didn’t have hot water to shower. Room doors didn’t close—the place needs some TLC. We had a lot of rain on Sunday, unfortunately.

The experience on the houseboat in the lagoon itself. The shabby, worn, totally reduced equipment was limited to the bare essentials.

Miscommunication around the number of adults and children. It’s important to know that kids count as an adult for boat capacity.

The spot was perfect, though a bit of broken glass lay under a table outside—otherwise everything was great.
