Very friendly staff, super clean facilities

I appreciated that pets are allowed here, but our experience was marred by cleanliness issues. The initial room we were assigned had a broken toilet seat and visible mold, which prompted a room change. However, the new room wasn't much better, with black mold on the lamp, a ripped office chair covered in mold, and a filthy freezer. It was disheartening to see such a state of disrepair, especially in South Texas where humidity can exacerbate mold growth.

I found the accommodations to be comfortable, and being able to park right in front of my room was a plus. However, I was surprised to find a few thorns on the floor, which suggested that the previous guest may have tracked them in. A more thorough vacuuming would have prevented me from stepping on one of them.

The friendly staff and pet-friendly policy were definite highlights of my stay. The room was mostly clean, but I did notice a significant amount of mildew in the shower. Additionally, the parking situation could be improved. Overall, it was a decent experience, but with some areas for improvement.
