Very nice and quiet location.
“A great stay - although not the one we booked!”
We had booked this place but ended up at another hotel, ‘Domeniul Dracula Daneș’, which felt like an upgrade over our original reservation; it had a pool and a restaurant on site. While walking on the Via Transilvanica we strayed off the path, but the owners were very accommodating and drove us back to the trail for the next morning.
“Frumos, liniste si relaxare.”
Breakfast was very good, a Swedish buffet. It’s served at another location, Domeniul Dracula, which is very pretty. We announced late in the evening, and the location is in the forest, about 4 km from DN.
I had a pleasant overall experience. The location is beautiful, in the middle of a forest, quiet, with a large yard, a grill area, a big terrace, and a balcony on the room, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. The room isn’t a luxury one, but it was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the exterior looks unkempt. The lake was covered in vegetation and almost invisible, and the grass in the back yard was very tall, giving the impression that maintenance had been abandoned. Also, breakfast is no longer served at this location but at the main site a few kilometres away, which is quite inconvenient.
“Dezamăgitor ,am dat nota 7 doar pentru ca accepta animalele de companie !”
The fact that they accept pets is a plus! However, 1. Even though we were allowed to bring our puppy, the lady who greeted us looked angry when she saw the dog; the staff should be trained about the changes (probably she didn’t know). 2. The room had a very strong odor, the bathroom toilet was very dirty (build‑up at the bottom), we couldn’t get hot water (the property told us it arrives late and to let it run longer, which was useless), the floor creaked everywhere so you couldn’t go to the bathroom without waking someone. 3. Breakfast is served at another location (5 km away) even though there was a closed restaurant inside the premises.
