Charming double room with private bathroom

“Lovely room, great coffee and two very friendly and well behaved dogs”

I chose this spot because it was close to Wimbledon, which made the trip easy, though the road was busy but that didn't bother me much.

I had no positives at all. While on a flight to London, I received a message from the host saying, "I am sorry but I cannot accept the booking. Please can you contact help from booking com?" I replied that I would go that day, but never heard back. When I arrived, the key was locked. I tried calling directly but couldn't connect, and after a while received a WhatsApp message: "Hi, we are not at home. You can find another accommodation in Wimbledon. 参考にしてください."

The place was very dirty and the smell was terrible, and everything else was awful.

The location and hospitality were good, but there was no bedside lamp.

I could walk to St George's Hospital, which was convenient. After booking, the host never replied or texted me. When I showed up, the host seemed unaware of my reservation. I was given a room that was nothing like the listing—downstairs, facing the main road instead of the advertised "first floor, garden," it was small, unmade, dirty, and stank. The bedroom and so-called private bathroom were actually part of the host's flat, not private. Two unfriendly dogs jumped onto the bed when I asked to see it. The host couldn't cancel but offered a small refund. I wouldn't have stayed there and was left without a bed on a Saturday night. I was lucky to find an expensive hotel instead. It was a nightmare.
