“A bit disappointed”

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there was no food on site, supplies were very short, and there was no bottled water. The whole place feels very dated.

“Awful. I would never stay there again, it’s a dump.”

The staff were nice, but the room was dingy and dirty, clearly needing a full refurbishment. A live band played loud music until midnight, and the bar stayed noisy past 2 am. If you have any other options, avoid this place—it’s a dump and you’d sleep better on the pavement.

“I lost my wallet and didn’t know until I received a message to let me know that someone had found it and they placed it”

Even though it’s on the main road, it wasn’t noisy at all, and off‑street parking worked well.

“Refurbishment Needed”

The location is convenient for local amenities. The hotel clearly needs investment; the room is spacious thanks to the building’s character, but the décor needs a refresh. The stairwell smells musky, and there’s a lot of noise from bar revelers well into the night—traffic and people outside can still be heard even with the window closed, so it feels like nobody sleeps in Hayle.

The facilities were very clean and suited our needs. Even though the hotel sits above a pub, we didn’t hear the band in our room. The spot is perfect for the great fish and chips at Sullys, and the pastry shop is fantastic—breakfast bites were amazing. Free parking was easy.
