Antonis, the host and manager, was incredibly helpful and made our Ikarian trip unforgettable by giving us a handy list of local spots. The place itself is one-of-a-kind, blending sea and mountain views.

The hotel’s atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful. The accommodation was far from the city center, the bathroom was tiny, and the shower was so small you couldn’t stand upright.

The location was lovely, with a charming garden and a nice private area just outside the room that was large and peaceful—almost no other guests were seen. The room itself was very dark, cramped, and the bathroom had no window, making it less than pleasant; the kitchenette was barely usable. Though the building was well constructed, it sits near an industrial site and offers no sea view.

The hotel is close to the center, surrounded by a lush, well‑maintained garden. The rooms were very clean, and the manager Antony was very cheerful and answered every question instantly. He supplied information on the island’s attractions, beautiful beaches, and festivals. However, the facilities were extremely limited—only one kettle was provided, and although a washing machine was listed, it was absent. When we needed to do laundry, we were told to pay the cleaning lady to wash it at her house. We stayed for seven nights, and the lack of promised amenities was disappointing; the price was also inflated. Outside of festival season, it would be worth looking for cheaper options.

The rosemary in the garden was wonderful, but the island of Ikeria is tucked away at the far end, making everything far, and without a rental car staying here is practically impossible; only room service is offered and the room provides just water. The photos are misleading—everything is inside one room, not separate bedrooms, so four friends had to share a single space with extremely uncomfortable beds and random items scattered around, and we even had to climb like a tower to reach our room. I’d advise against this side of the island; the roads are insanely winding and narrow, so stay on the Evdilos side.
