Hotel Dülmener Hof

“War OK, und wir würden auch wieder ein Zimmer buchen, wenn wir in der Nähe sind”

There’s a parking spot right by the house, making arrival and room check‑in hassle‑free. The dinner at the local restaurant wasn’t great; the price‑performance ratio didn’t match. In contrast, the breakfast exceeded our expectations. After a long drive, the first thing you do when you get to the room is go to the bathroom, and there was already used toilet paper in the toilet. It’s fine, but you should have taken a picture; you’re in a hurry, so you just ignore it. It can happen, but it shouldn’t.

“prima”

The breakfast was excellent.

The food was good and the staff were friendly, but the shower screen was moldy and the room was very loud from the street.

The staff were very friendly, yet the room was already quite worn out, with spider webs over the bed, a TV that was present but not plugged in and without a remote.

“Reservering mogelijk ondanks gesloten deuren”

I couldn’t say anything positive because the hotel turned out to be closed. I had booked and when I arrived, the door was locked and a note was posted declaring that they were (temporarily) closed, something that was not clear when I made the reservation. That kind of miscommunication is worthless, and because I had to provide my credit card details it felt very unpleasant. Luckily we could book a room a few kilometres away, but that absolutely doesn’t justify the price.
