Baunhöller Mühle sits cozily and quietly in the forest. The rooms are well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s very family‑friendly, accepts bicycles, and allows pets. Laundry changes could be arranged on request. The breakfast could have been more varied, for example by offering scrambled eggs or more fruit. Unfortunately, no room cleaning took place during the 14 days; cleaning supplies were available for self‑service. A weekly cleaning would have been nice.

Everything was great, the location was superb, and it was very quiet.

The location was good, but the furnishings were spartan and old, the balcony furniture was rusty, there was a bad smell in the stairwell, and the mats should have been vacuumed. Nothing was ever cleaned.

The hotel was very quiet. The breakfast was only average, yet the rolls were outstanding. Check‑in and check‑out went smoothly. The staff were very diligent and hardworking. Dogs are welcome at the café and dinner. The beds were very comfortable. The drive to the mill is truly special: although the hotel can be reached from two sides, both roads (agricultural access roads) are very narrow. Agricultural traffic or other drivers who misjudge their vehicle width can quickly block the road, leaving little chance to get up or down the mill calmly. Because the Pentecost weekend was hot and sunny, parking was already tight. Unfortunately, some guests used the space recklessly, standing across two parking spots. There is also no visual boundary (like a fence or small wall) at the parking lot to indicate how far you can roll without risking sliding down the slope. Finally, the heat in the room builds up quickly, making it very warm.
