The people at Gorilla Neighbour are truly fantastic, a warm welcome that makes you feel at home; the breakfast was so abundant that I could only eat a third; they really take care of you; there was a warm shower that I appreciated after many cold showers in Uganda; I was able to stay in my room past the 10 am check‑out time because I had to leave for the airport at 13:00, and on top of that they brought me a gift; I can’t think of anything negative—just a super guesthouse.

“Prima plek vlakbij het meer”

Two especially kind sisters greet you warmly (and if they’re not there, the friendly concierge or their brother steps in); this place is in a beautiful old house; we had the largest room, which was beautifully decorated and very spacious; within a few minutes you can walk to the shore of the Victoria Lake and enjoy a great meal at Goretti; tip: ask Agnes if you can join the Sunday church service (it’s within walking distance); it’s an interesting experience and you’re very welcome; the only annoyance was the tiny flies in Entebbe when the weather is nice.

The visit was brief yet delightful. A smoothly organised pick‑up from Entebbe airport, followed by a warm welcome, a good night of sleep in a clean and comfortable room, and an excellent breakfast with good coffee.

“I should have booked more days!”

The staff are the kindest and most dedicated people! The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast amazing!! On the downside, I had a rough night dealing with mosquitoes 😅 even with the mosquito net.
