Lovely, friendly staff and location of hotel. Cleanliness & quality of the room. Lots of little things needed addressing to bring it upto the required standard; as advertised

“Country feel”

The restaurant was fantastic, the setting cozy, staff welcoming, walks lovely, the place felt homely with original touches, but the rooms weren’t as soundproof as a purpose‑built hotel.

“A very nice small and homely hotel with excellent staff.”

The team was very warm and attentive, making sure we felt cared for; the bar area was pleasant, the food tasty, and the room comfortable, giving good value for a B & B—would come back gladly. I can’t think of any real drawbacks; if I had to nitpick, the water pressure was great, more than enough.

“Two night stay,. Tasty mac and cheese. Friendly staff.”

The surroundings were quiet and pleasant, though the hotel itself felt a little worn.

“Comfortable sleep, delicious breakfast and luxury spa bath”

We appreciated staying in a separate annex with our dogs and parking nearby; the staff were friendly, breakfast delicious, the bed cozy, and the spa bath a nice bonus. The only downside was that the room felt a bit “tired” in spots like the vertical blinds, but it was otherwise clean and comfortable, offering excellent value compared to other places on our northern Scotland tour.
