Afton House Inn

I loved the cute, clean place with a lot of character, but the hot tub jets never worked even after we followed the instructions and filled the tub high enough.

“Ok looks more upscale in the pictures. Basic room. Shower needs cleaned carpet could use cleaning”

I missed breakfast because it was too late, and the shower had not been cleaned.

The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and breakfast was delightful.

“A wonderful stay in a very old historic inn.”

The staff were excellent, checking in repeatedly to see if we needed anything, and the breakfast was wonderful. We used the dining room and the outside deck for our group’s evening card games. The air conditioner in our room didn’t work the first night; we mentioned it to the staff the next morning, and that afternoon we were moved to an upgraded room. It was wonderful how accommodating the staff were in making everything right for us.

“Overall great experience, I want to go back.”

It was a cute historic hotel in a beautiful neighborhood away from the city, and the staff were great! Breakfast was a little underwhelming; I understand it’s free, but a little sprucing up would help. I also saw some of the clientele at that hotel—people who would even pay for a nicer breakfast if a premium option existed.
