The breakfast was huge and included a card. The breakfast area is far from the hotel.

The staff were responsive, breakfast was good, and the room felt very warm. It was very quiet and cozy. It's 20 km from Daugavpils, but worth staying.

The rooms and common areas were okay, nicely furnished, but many things already needed refurbishment and were worn. Breakfast was adequate, but good (to me everything needed was there) and the waiter was very pleasant, as a hotel staff member should be. The room wasn’t tidy; the bathroom had muddy stains on the toilet lid. The front‑desk man was below expectations – he didn’t speak Latvian, barely greeted us, didn’t explain breakfast times, check‑out, etc., just handed us a paper to sign without telling us what it was for. In the restaurant no menu was provided; only coffee, tea and water were “offered” verbally. At the adjacent table two couples brought their own alcohol bottles, which was odd for such a “high‑end” Italian place. We didn’t need alcohol, but we would have liked a nice cocktail after dinner, especially since the public area had a drinks list; when we asked, they suggested bringing a wine glass (the wine they brought was not what we expected).
