The place sits right in Harrietville, which is handy, but there’s not much to do around. It’s the cheapest spot in town that even gives you a private bathroom. The bed felt like a stack of springs, and the bathroom was covered in cobwebs on the ceiling. The walls are paper‑thin and the whole room looks worn out. We asked for a discretionary cancellation even though we booked a no‑cancellation rate because the mountains had no snow, but they didn’t even consider it or offer a reschedule.

Good value and easy to get to. I’ve stayed a few times here and it’s hassle‑free, but the bathrooms are freezing and the drainage is a nightmare—water everywhere.
