The recently refurbished room was very well done.

The place feels old and the comfort is very limited for 180€; we struggled to move around the bed, the carpet is worn out, and the food smells are intense. The building is aging.

The hotel sits in a pleasant spot and the shared facilities and spa are solid. The staff were friendly and the gardens are calming. However, the standard rooms we stayed in are very worn out and tatty, with loose shelves, peeling paint, and stained bathrooms. We know they’re slated for renovation next year, but that didn’t help us feel it was worth the price.

The location is ideal for a stop on the way south, and the meal was excellent. Some rooms are a bit old-fashioned.
