The location was superb, but music kept playing until 12.10 a.m., keeping me awake until about 01.00, which was unacceptable. I had a good fillet steak, but my wife could hardly see her mackerel on the plate, and my dessert came in the same mould… it wasn’t cheap either.

“Lovely clean hotel with excellent restaurant. Cheerful happy staff.”

The location was ideal as a stop‑over between Yorkshire and SW France, and the hotel was very dog friendly. Nothing else to note.

“A real hidden gem!”

What a little hidden gem! The room was beautiful with a modern large bathroom and shower, set in peaceful pretty grounds. The restaurant and food were really lovely, and they must have a fabulous chef—it was a real treat and exceeded our expectations. An earlier breakfast timeslot would have helped on the day we had to leave early to travel.
