“Klein, zweckmäßig und ein Hauch Raumschiff Enterprise”

My room was small and functional. The bathroom was a bit unusual, its futuristic design reminded me of a spaceship cabin – original but not really my taste. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, but the atmosphere felt more like a cafeteria. The scrambled eggs needed improvement (probably from the bag). I was disappointed by the TV selection: only French channels were available. In an international hotel, that feels a bit outdated; some international or German or English channels would be preferable.

“Ibis la bresse”

The hotel sits nicely in the Bresse, the food is very good and the room is fine too; it isn’t the best I’ve tried at ibis, but it’s decent. The lake of Gérerme is close enough that we took a nice boat ride for an affordable price. Parking is a hassle: the entrance isn’t welcoming, and sometimes you can’t get onto the main street, making it hard to find the back lot when you’re lugging a big suitcase. Otherwise the room, reception and restaurant are great, and breakfast is the usual ibis fare. We had to choose between eating and heading out to the bowling alley because everything opens early.

The hotel’s location is good, the staff are helpful, and the room is clean. It’s a bit pricey.

“Motorradwanderung”

Alles bestens! Das Hotel liegt mitten im Ort und damit gibt es ausreichend Gelegenheiten fürs Abendessen. Die Motorräder konnten sicher und trocken in der Tiefgarage parken
