Gasthof zum Bayerischen

Ms Schuster welcomed us very warmly and took care of us; it felt genuinely personal. The house is a bit old‑fashioned, which is part of its charm. The rooms are not in the Bavarian house but about 300 m away at the Gasthof Schuster, something we should have known about for parking purposes.

“Gerne wieder”

The room was well equipped and the host was very nice. We booked the Bavarian house, but check‑in happened at Hotel Schuster, and that was also the room we stayed in (both properties are family‑owned).

Having a room was good, but booking the Bayrischen at Hotel Sonne without prior notice was annoying.

We were moved to a different pension and had to wait a long time before checking in; the night before we left, we were told we’d have to pay for pets despite the booking confirmation saying otherwise, and it felt like a last‑minute trick to prevent us from finding another place, so we’ll skip demanding the “dog fee” back, though we might still mention it.
