“Would not recommend”

The location was fine, but the staff were rude, gave us a room that was already occupied, the bathroom had rubbish on the floor when we arrived, and the toilet leaked badly.

“Basic, clean & cheap dog-friendly accommodation.”

The place is pet‑friendly and clean, though a bit dated. The pub staff were friendly, and I could order a meal from the pub dining room and they happily delivered it to my room.

“Comfortable short stay, not to be judged by external appearances.”

Having easy access to the restaurant and the hotel was great; the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are set back from the road, so traffic noise isn’t an issue even though the hotel sits close to an intersection. The room itself was very basic but comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay.
