“I was in and out quick. No water in ensuite room. Not ideal”

There was no hot water when we arrived, and in the morning the room had no running water at all.

The room was spotless, quiet, warm, and super comfy, and the bathroom was clean and handy; we did a big load of laundry, though the machine ran a bit slow. Outside, ducks and chickens roamed and a cat wandered inside, while the common room offered games and activities; check‑in was clear and simple, and the staff knew the local area well. A person cooked something strong in the communal kitchen and the odor stuck in the hallway; also, because it's a small town, the supermarket and cafés/ restaurants might close earlier than listed, but everyone was happy to help us find what we needed.

“interesting history and great experience overall”

It’s a quirky, interesting spot, but there was no staff interaction—just walk in. The room felt a bit smaller than I expected, and the shower was short.
