The hotel’s location was great and the staff were very friendly, yet the overall stay fell short of expectations. There was no clear notice during booking that the property was under renovation, and a key reason for choosing the hotel was the gym’s appealing photos. Upon arrival, we discovered the gym was being remodeled and a temporary gym had been set up in a regular hotel room, which was not what I expected. Housekeeping also had issues: the room wasn’t cleaned at one point, and essentials like toilet paper weren’t always restocked, forcing me to repeatedly request basic items. I understand renovations happen, but major construction and missing amenities should be communicated before booking. Between the renovations and the repeated housekeeping requests, the experience did not meet my expectations; I would have chosen another hotel had I known all this beforehand.
