Located in La Malbaie, Quebec, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu is a luxurious castle hotel situated between the sea and mountains. It features a 27-hole golf course, on-site dining, spa, and 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and sauna. Rooms offer cable TV, video games, and mountain or river views, along with work desks and warm-colored decor.

The view, location, and history were great, but the lobby had a strong smell that made it hard to breathe when the fire was on.

The location and interior of the common spaces were good, but the rooms need renovation, there are almost no plugs in the room, the windows in the bathroom don’t open, and the carpet and furniture are very old.

The location was gorgeous, a nice walk along the river, and the dining room and bar offered beautiful views, but it wasn’t within walking distance to other restaurants and the cafe was closed, so we couldn’t get a nice drink in the morning or afternoon unless we drove to town.

The room was roomy, the pools were great, and the restaurant was good.
