The colonial vibe and great location stood out, yet the check‑in process was frustrating—I had to wait outside for about 10 minutes, and at night you have to be handed the key; there’s no self‑service.

I had high expectations, but I couldn’t even stay because when I arrived the guard told me the hotel was closed due to a power outage and everything was cancelled at the last minute; it was 11 pm and my partner and I were scrambling for a solution, which felt irresponsible since we’d confirmed our check‑in time earlier and were told everything was fine—some consideration would have helped.

Arturo was wonderful; he’d bring me coffee at odd times when he knew I needed it, always cheerful about opening the door (the lock makes me feel very safe), greeting me and going the extra mile—definitely coming back! The place is small, with a small pool and limited staff. Breakfast was simple but nice.
