“Well positioned, but outdated and unmaintained”

The hotel sits in a prime spot right in the city centre, surrounded by a pharmacy, supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and both check‑in and check‑out ran smoothly; we were even allowed early check‑in, which we appreciated. They kindly put two water bottles in the fridge for us. The worst part was the pipe smell in the bathroom – it was like sewage and made us feel sick every time we used the toilet or left the door open. The room was otherwise decent but rather outdated, with discoloration or mould between the bathroom tiles and a partially cleaned shower splash screen showing time‑scale stains; the bathtub was yellowed. The room also had no coffee, tea or kettle.

“great location - no A/C - need new fans”

The location and price were great, but the hotel had no air conditioning so it was warm; they handed us two fans, one of which was broken—new fans would be a good investment.

The beds were very comfortable, but there were no outlets next to the bed.
