Guerneville Lodge is a very old and cozy place to stay, quiet and unique. The self‑serve kitchen has all the amenities. Bring your own food and fixings. The property is like any old place and just needs some TLC.

It had a great community feel, and we met several people from out of town and got to make breakfast together. The property, both outside and inside, needs cleaning. There was dirt and dust everywhere inside, and several cobwebs had to be cleaned up on the website. It says there’s a view of the river, but you could only see a little bit, so thinning the trees would be nice to see the river.

The location was great. The experience would have been much better if they had a cleaning company come in. The main area is riddled with spider webs and dust. Being antique and being dirty is not the same. The room was obviously not vacuumed and the shower wasn’t cleaned, which is not ideal.

I was impressed by the cool, funky vibe and the owner’s friendly, relaxed attitude. There were plenty of activities: a ping‑pong table, a canoe on the river, a paddle board, a hot tub, a kitchen to cook in, camping gear, volleyball, basketball, and more. The only drawback was the constant traffic on the nearby road, which was a bit annoying.

The location is great, but the room description misleads you into thinking you’ll see the river. In reality it’s a cramped space just five feet from the highway, with no TV, a dirty bedroom, missing light bulbs, and a bed that squeaks loudly when you move. The advertised bathtub turned out to be a tiny shower that’s smaller than a closet, with an open drain hole. We only received one flat pillow each, and the headboard looked like a crime scene. The walls were filthy, as shown in the photo I posted. No staff were around. For $300.00 a night I felt completely taken advantage of. I’ve never been so disappointed. Many things can go wrong with rooms and travel, but be honest about what you advertise.
