The place is great—just a stone’s throw from the lakeside, marina, Clementine’s, and a bunch of cute shops, and the staff is super welcoming and helpful.

The made‑to‑order breakfast was fantastic, and it felt like staying with a close friend; the rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect for downtown shopping, so I’d definitely return.

“Quaint hotel with lots of charm”

I loved the historic charm of the hotel, and the happy hour offered complimentary draft beer and local wines, while breakfast was cooked fresh for everyone. The spot was ideal, within walking distance of restaurants and the beach, and the staff were amazing, friendly, and accommodating—by the time we left we felt like old friends. Highly recommend.

“Nice place”

Breakfast was very good and the happy hour was nice.

“The lounge/lobby was quite pleasant/very conducive to mingling with other guests.”

The location was excellent, but the breakfast bowl was more soup than a bowl. The room had only one small, hard chair, and the shower water was tepid the first night; the manager advised us to call an hour before our shower time the next night, but hot water was still scarce, which made us think about skipping the second night. We were offered a complimentary dinner but didn’t take it. There was no night light, so I had to bring my own battery‑powered one. The liquid shower soap was a hassle, so I brought a small bar. The shower/bath stall lacked grab bars, which was odd; it seemed to be a Michigan thing. The young server at breakfast was pleasant, patient, and polite, and the generous Saturday happy hour was a highlight.
