The location was good, under 10 minutes to the station and 15 to Bari Vecchia, and the bedding was spot‑on. The room’s soundproofing was awful, the hallway and rooms all echoed, which is typical in Italy. My room faced a wall, so I never saw daylight. The hallway lights were motion‑activated, making it impossible to leave the room without ending up in Versailles, just like the pub!

The photos in the listing didn’t match the accommodation I received. The room, part of an apartment, was tiny and lacked any comfort. The sole window faced a wall, blocking light. The check‑in office didn’t issue a receipt because the owner only works with tax codes.

The place is close to the train station, and the room is lovely with a comfy bed and pillows. The only downside is the bathroom is cramped, and the shower is inside the room rather than in the bathroom.
